So while we play with the metaphor, it is flawed. The problems are worked out in a way I can now understand them. I do still refer to the book, though, for the general lessons and just ignore any references to the ribbons and bookmarks.
I think that in trying to demystify the Liturgy of the Hours and make it accessible to the raw beginner (which would definitely be people like me), Ms. She probably didn't think I would get her something useful this year since last year's gift was horrible, but she definitely seemed to like this and could not stop talking about how much it had to offer just from skimming the table of contents. In this difficulty a friend, Father Betancourt, undertook the boy's education, and found in him an eager and intelligent pupil."
Other good things of this book are its organized, follows chronological order and uses original sources.
