Editorial : About the Author
Catherine Cutler is the supervisor of the humid tropics biome at the award-winning Eden Project, in Cornwall, England. She was responsible for overseeing the planting, design and development of the biome, from its beginnings, as a tropical paradise. Her career has included a study and work period in Malaysia's National Orchid Garden in Kuala Lumpur, where she took part in an environmentally orientated forestation scheme, propagating native rainforest trees in east Malaysia, and working in India maintaining and cataloging formal gardens.
Authors Martin Walters and Jinny Johnson, both from the UK, have each written numerous children's books related to animals and nature. The World of Animals was edited by Steve Parker, a Scientific Fellow of the Zoological Society, authoring over 120 books and editing dozens more related to the natural world.
I feel this book is a great resource not only for a cookbook standpoint, but just knowing what it is. It starts out with a chapter on von Mises' life, a chapter on his role in economics, and chapters on specific facets of his economic thought. Nash's illness was not really described or talked about in depth; it's just used as a backdrop to mention the psychiatric hospitals he was in.. This is a beautiful intro into fascinating geology! It's written as a set of stories, making it appealing to the young audience, however it describes many complex geological notions and provides an insider view into this science and people in it, into research methods and history. Brava! A beautiful book!. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this book for any botanical fashionistas looking to add succulents in their life. The book further describes the whys and benefits.
