I would recommend this book to everyone!. Merton himself is quite the scold (I think he had fellow monks in mind during some of the passages) for the complacent and self-satisfied, those who think that interior communion with God is nothing more than feeling a warm, meditative glow.
In that vein I took the book to be more of a challenge, a throwing down of the spiritual gauntlet -- one can never rest in trying to achieve the dialogue with God that many of us seek, especially during these desperate times. I just bought it for a new baby relative, but I can imagine how very much fun my kids (now grown) would have had with this book. Excellent!. This is a book about high fashion shoes, including some that would be fantastic to wear just about anywhere, and some that could only be worn whilst sitting down. In this section, Morgan shares one hundred Bible Verses that he believes everyone should know by heart. I have become a dedicated Larry Laswell fan and will eagerly anticipate
