Introducing a series quite unlike any other on the market. Miller's Treasure or Not? series is a clear, accessible, easy-to-follow guide to developing an appraiser's eye and a connoisseur's knowledge of American Art Pottery. At the heart of each volume are 61 full-colour, 2-page spreads in which pairs of related objects are analyzed, compared, and evaluated, with the object of answering the question why is one item more valuable than the other. The factors involved may be age, rarity, intricacy of design, maker, marks, provenance, lack of defects, later additions, restoration, etc. The expert authors hone in on the salient "value features" and clearly explain what makes an object worth what the market says it is worth. Each core spread consists of two large-scale, full-colour photos of the contrasted items, surrounded by call-outs highlighting the key "value features". Introductory text describes the pieces and their provenance and background. Bulleted points summarize the main points

An independent dealer and freelance associate for David Rago, she has been their principal auction cataloguer since 1991, and manages the Perrault-Rago Gallery.

Book closely parallels Paul Gruhn's ISA course. Its ethics would deal not just with homicide and suicide, but equally with biocide and geocide, in Berry's words. Section 6 "Mises and the A Priori: The Extremist?" explains what Hayek thought was a critique of Mises and Kirzner shows how it wasn't but I couldn't follow him. I have bought some other children's books in french to read to my niece and this was the only one I had trouble with.. Therefore it is a treat to have this more analytical biography of the musical life of this great Hungarian-American conductor to accompany Philip Hart's 1994 "Fritz Reiner: A Biography", which was rather anecdotal in its approach. Purchased this for help with drawing male figures. Lewis-esque mastery behind it.

The novel takes its time setting up the situation and slowly but surely revealing the mystery of the cupboards, all of which is charmingly fun. The subtitle says “The ultimate … guide to more than 1300 … trees&rdq
