Don't get me wrong, but it just seemed as though the book was based on past (not healthy) relationships. I really like stories where the vampire like race, the Kaldr or the cold ones, feed off something other than blood. I am a teacher and author for massage therapists, and a private practice now focusing on healing the brain. This caught my interest, and I began to look for materials on it.
