Some stuff is in fact to detailed, therefore hard to understand for someone new to networking.. It doesn't matter if it's water stained, moth-eaten, frayed or even rotting - it's all part of the look you're trying to achieve.

While the title uses the term "art" the information in this book is more "science" in that it details methods and practices that are measurable and executed through deliberate planning and action. You may want to start with one of those, and then get the book to go deeper into it. The scenes in this story were original and imaginative.
